I return a new man

Posted by Sentio - August 21st, 2012

Once upon a time I fit the Newgrounds demographic perfectly- a teenager with no luck with women and too much spare time on my laptop.

There is hope for us all...

Now I return a married man after the best two weeks of my life seeing an incredible country that I desperately want to help return to its former glory. As such I will be starting a small project with that in mind... hopefully news to follow in the coming months.

House.... check
Job..... check (though not quite what I want yet)
Wife.... check
Plymouth Argyle to win.... anything.... Still waiting on that one!

Bonus points if you can identify the country we went to from this picture!

I went to a different country too, but couldn't find a wife. Once you are there, are you supposed to talk to women or something?
Anyway congrats on having a wife, a house and a job!
The picture looks like Brazil.

Ha, I didn't meet her on THIS holiday, though I did meet her on holiday 5 years ago! This was our honeymoon, we got married two weeks ago before we left!

Talking to women is generally a good first step, yes... alcohol made a difference the first time though!

And not Brazil, wrong continent entirely I'm afraid...

Indonesia? The picture looks like the temple there with the big square moat around it. Can't remember the name of it though.

Not a bad stab, certainly in the right ball park, but not correct I am afraid.

Is that Angkor Wat? I can't quite remember what country it's in. I'd like to say Cambodia.

One of those two is right I think. Maybe both.

Well done, the bonus points are yours. Right on both counts (just about, it is actually Bayon Temple just down the road from Angkor Wat).

Hmm, I never would've guessed Cambodia that looks more Inca or Aztec to me. But I guess the lion is a more Asian animal.

Honestly I had no idea what Cambodia was like until we went there. I knew of Angkor Wat, but that is just the tip of the iceberg- there are over 200 temples in the Angkor region! Combine that with the friendliest people I have ever come across and it is somewhere I firmly believe everyone should visit.

Looks amazing

nice tiger nice tiger.....ahhhhhhhhhh its staring at me

Argyle ftw

Winning is one thing they rarely do, but its good to see some Green Army support on here!

Holy cow, it's a smart shark

How about a check? :P As for the picture, I was about to guess some random country in Latin America so.. good thing it's already been spotted! What's the job, if you don't mind the asking?

Nothing much has changed since I posted this to be honest- busy with work, and Plymouth still suck!

The job is a secondary school science teacher, but I'm still only doing a maternity cover at a mediocre school. I've been pushing for a permanent post for three years now, with no luck. Currently looking at retraining as a maths teacher instead, as there is much more demand for that!
